Fantasy football championship week is here! For those lucky enough to be one of two teams left standing in your league, big time bragging rights are on the line. In our week 15 review we are going to look forward to the players who are poised to put up massive numbers in week 16. For your sake, I hope some of these guys are on your team and not the opponents.

Adrian Peterson – Peterson is simply in the zone right now. I thought AP was the hardest runner in the NFL before this year, but he has simply gone to another level in the last several weeks. The Houston Texans have a great defense. Right now though, no one is stopping All Day. If you don’t have him, I hope you’re not facing him. Peterson is not containable at this point.

Tom Brady – Brady is another guy peaking at the right time for fantasy owners. He put up great numbers against one of the best defenses in the league this past week. Now the Patriots take on the Jaguars and Brady should have a hay day against this defense. And we all know the Pats like to keep scoring even with big leads so I expect Brady to score big.

Falcons / Lions Passing Attacks – These two square off and points should be abundant. Stafford and Calvin Johnson should have a big day and the same goes for Ryan and his receiving core. Neither defense has a stellar secondary so both passing attacks should strive in a shootout.

Any defense that plays the Jets (San Diego) – If you do not have a true go to defense, pick up San Diego right now. The Jets offense is just awful. There isn’t much else to say. Against an average Titans defense, Sanchez had four interceptions and a fumble. Yikes. Add to this that while San Diego has been struggling to find wins this year; their defense has actually been playing really well. Play the Chargers defense and play them with confidence.

These are just a few of the big time performers we should see in week 16. Good luck to everyone in their championship matchups and thanks for reading along throughout the season. Next week we will look at the fantasy football MVPs for this 2012 season to wrap up the fantasy football season.
